FAITHWEAR MINISTRY SCROLL—January 11, 2026
I have chosen to write scrolls about Jesus — not only His name, but His nature, His identity, and His eternal purpose — so that we may understand who we are through Him, walk rightly with Him, and live a victorious life. For we serve one God in triune form: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are one in essence, yet distinct in function. This mystery is not hidden from us, for God created us in His image. And in that image we see the pattern: a physical body, a living spirit, and a spoken word. Without the spirit, we are lifeless. Without the body, we are not born. Without the word, we cannot declare, build, or manifest. This triune structure within us is not accidental — it is a reflection of God Himself. The Father initiates, the Son embodies, and the Spirit empowers. And so we, too, are designed to live, move, and speak as vessels of divine intention.
God is love. And by His love, He created all things — not randomly, but with eternal purpose. Before the foundation of the world, before the earth took shape, Jesus was already the plan. The ever‑knowing God, who sees the end from the beginning, knew that sin would enter the world. So He prepared a blueprint — a divine design centered entirely on Jesus Christ. For everything to be established on earth, Jesus was made the anchor of all things, the gate to eternal life, and the source of truth and everlasting hope. “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” At the appointed time, Jesus came forth and became flesh — not as a reaction, but as the fulfillment of what had already been written. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” He stepped into time to fulfill the eternal blueprint of God, to rescue humanity from death, and to restore us to the love that formed us.
To understand Jesus as God and as the High Priest of the living God, we must return to the beginning. When God summoned light into existence — “Let there be light” — that light was not the sun, moon, or stars, for those were created later. This was the spiritual Light, the eternal radiance that proceeds from God Himself. It was the prophetic unveiling of Christ. Jesus later declared, “I am the Light of the world.” This is not physical light, but the unseen Light that existed before the heavens were formed. He is the Light that reveals, the Light that gives life, the Light that exposes darkness, and the Light that leads us back to the Father. From the very beginning, the Light spoken in Genesis was a revelation of Christ — the first announcement of the One who would come to redeem and reign.
This truth is further confirmed through the mystery of Melchizedek in the days of Abraham. Long before the Levitical priesthood existed, a priest appeared — “Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High.” He came without genealogy, without recorded beginning or end, without earthly lineage or priestly appointment. Scripture presents him as a living prophecy, a shadow of the One who would come. Melchizedek blessed Abraham, and Abraham honored him with a tenth of everything — a sign of submission and recognition of divine authority. Hebrews reveals the mystery: “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.” This means Jesus’ priesthood is eternal, heavenly, and unchanging. Melchizedek pointed forward to Him; Abraham bowed before Him in shadow; and in Christ, the fullness of that priesthood is revealed.
As we continue to trace the revelation of Jesus through Scripture, we must look at the sins of Israel — not to condemn them, but to understand the prophetic story God was writing. Israel’s failures were not random; they exposed the human condition and revealed the desperate need for a Savior. From the wilderness to the promised land, from the judges to the kings, Israel repeatedly turned away from God. They broke covenant, worshiped idols, rejected His prophets, and hardened their hearts. Their story mirrors the condition of all humanity: unable to save ourselves, unable to remain faithful, unable to keep the law in our own strength.
Yet even in their rebellion, God was revealing His plan. Every failure pointed to the One who would succeed. Every broken covenant pointed to the One who would establish an everlasting covenant. Every sacrifice pointed to the perfect Lamb. Every priest pointed to the eternal High Priest. Every king pointed to the King of kings. Every prophet pointed to the Word made flesh. Israel’s sins did not cancel God’s plan — they highlighted it. They made it clear that salvation could not come through human effort, human righteousness, or human strength. It had to come through Jesus.
And then we come to the New Testament, where everything spoken, foreshadowed, and prophesied becomes flesh before the eyes of humanity. Jesus did not come to do His own will, nor to establish His own agenda. He came in perfect obedience to the Father. He declared, “I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” His entire earthly life was marked by surrender — chosen, joyful, complete. In Gethsemane, facing the weight of sin and the agony of the cross, He prayed, “Not My will, but Yours be done.” Through His obedience, He reversed Adam’s disobedience. Through His surrender, He restored what was lost. Through His submission, He opened the way for us to become children of God.
Jesus is the epitome and embodiment of what every believer is called to be. He is the perfect image of obedience, surrender, holiness, and unity with the Father. He is the Word made flesh — the eternal blueprint revealed before the eyes of man. Everything God spoke, everything God designed, everything God purposed was manifested in Him. He is the living pattern, the visible expression of the invisible God, the exact imprint of His nature. To look at Jesus is to see the Father’s heart. To follow Jesus is to walk in the Father’s will. To imitate Jesus is to fulfill the purpose for which we were created.
He is the blueprint — not hidden, but revealed.
Not distant, but near.
Not symbolic, but embodied.
Not shadow, but substance.
In Him, we see what humanity was meant to be.
In Him, we see what obedience looks like.
In Him, we see what surrender produces.
In Him, we see the glory of God made visible.
