The Rain and the Ripening

The Rain and the Ripening

FaithWear Ministry Scroll

When the Spirit Becomes the Rain

God planted the greens on the third day—trees, herbs, seed-bearing life. But they did not grow. Not yet. “…no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain…” — Genesis 2:5. The seeds were there. The potential was present. But the rain had not come.

This was not delay—it was divine timing. Because growth requires more than planting. It requires presence. It requires water. It requires Spirit.

Just like the disciples. They walked with Jesus. They heard His voice. They received His Word. But they were not yet ripe. Not until the rain came. Not until the Spirit descended. Not until Pentecost. “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind…” — Acts 2:2. Then they grew. Then they bore fruit. Then they became witnesses.

The rain is not just water—it is activation. It is anointing. It is the Spirit poured out. And when the rain was already present—on the seventh day—God formed man. This is the blueprint of Christ.

God shapes us through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ, by giving us His Spirit when we believe and accept Jesus as Lord. When we believe He came to earth, died, was buried, and rose again—we are made new.

Accept therefore the Son of Man. Surrender your flesh. And you shall be forged by the fire of His Spirit. You shall be called a son of God. He came so that you would live. He came so that you would inherit the Kingdom. He came to save you from destruction. He came for you.

FaithWear Ministry’s Take

Growth is not just about being planted—it’s about being watered by the Spirit. If you feel like your season is still, like your seed has not yet sprouted, do not despair. The rain is coming. The Spirit is moving. Wait for Him. Seek Him. And when He pours out, you will rise—not just as a believer, but as a witness. Let this scroll remind you: the seed is not forgotten. The soil is not forsaken. The Spirit is not delayed. You are being prepared for fruitfulness.

Closing Benediction

May the Spirit who waters every seed pour Himself out upon your life. May He nourish your roots, awaken your gifts, and ripen your testimony. May every dormant place be revived, every hidden seed be brought forth, and every barren soil be made fruitful.

Go forth in confidence, knowing the rain is coming, the Spirit is moving, and your season of ripening is near.

🕊️ Final Declaration: My Amen to the Rain

So I will not despise the waiting. I will not fear the stillness. I will trust the Spirit’s timing, knowing that the rain will come, the seed will sprout, and the fruit will ripen. I will surrender my flesh, receive His Spirit, and walk as a child of God. My life will not remain barren—it will bear witness. For I am watered, ripened, and sealed in His glory.

Scripture to Seal It:
“Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; His going out is sure as the dawn; He will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” — Hosea 6:3

“To all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” — John 1:12
